The 2014 GRAMMY Awards are only three days away so it’s time for a quick recap. Fashion recap that is because let’s face it; many of us tune in for the red carpet fashion more than the music.
From Jennifer Lopez‘s Versace dress, the most famous Grammys dress of all time, to what Rihanna‘s see-through dress, it’s all worth giving it a second or third look to remember the most talked-about GRAMMY fashion so far.
Let’s recap the most revealing, controversial, crazy, in one word infamous GRAMMY dresses!
Jennifer Lopez in Versace at 2000 Grammy Awards. “I had to have it“, J.Lo said of the revealing gown. Fourteen years later we’re still talking about it so she was on to something.
Toni Braxton at 2001 Grammy Awards. “I decided that before I got married and had babies, I’d wear this,” Toni revealed. Hey, if you got it, flaunt it!
Christina Aguilera at the 2001 Grammy Awards. Cornrows, cleavage, belly button view, a high-slit; were do we start?
Beyonce at the 2008 Grammy Awards. Beyonce’s canary yellow gown almost allowed the world to get a glimpse of her bootylicious backside.
Lady Gaga at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Please take note that Gaga wowed via two dresses. One would have been too tame for the singer known for her unique fashion sense.
Ciara at the 2010 Grammy Awards. The R&B superstar showed off some leg in this interesting design. A lot going on from the waist up, but I’m sure all eyes were on CiCi’s legs.
Katy Perry at the 2011 GRAMMY Awards. Katy’s dress featured angel wings, a mirrored bra and a super long train. Perfect Grammys fashion.
Nicki Minaj at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Or, as I like to describe this look, the Bride of Frankenstein meets Jane of the Jungle.
Rihanna in Jean Paul Gaultier at the 2011 Grammy Awards. RiRi’s ruffled dress left little to the imagination and made into every Grammys fashion post then and now.
Lady Gaga in a giant egg at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Need I say more?
Ciara in Emilio Pucci at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Cleavage, check. Abs, check. Legs, check.
Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier Couture at the 2012 GRAMMY Awards. One of Fergie’s worst fashion choices, but her body did look amazing.
Nicki Minaj in Versace at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Or the religious version of Little Red Ridding Hood.
Anne V. at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Only a supermodel could pull off this little black number. Now you know why Adam Levine had that big grin on his face.
Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra at the 2013 Grammy Awards. That’s one risque dress, but Kelly pulled it off nicely. Doesn’t hurt that her body’s flawless either.
It will be interesting to see what these ladies wear on Sunday. I do hope they outdo themselves. Love a good Grammys fashion post.
