It looks like the life of one of the greatest legends of music of all time –Frank Sinatra- is going to be taken to the big screen by no other than the master of masters: Martin Scorsese.
The Italian-American director has been working on the script for a while now, as the complexity of Sinatra’s life involves serious work. However, if some can do it, that’s Scorsese, don’t you think?
Apparently the director wants to focus on different periods of Sinatra’s life:
“We can’t go through the greatest hits of Sinatra’s life. We tried this already. Just can’t do it. So the other way to go is to have three or four different Sinatras. Younger. Older. Middle-aged. Very old. You cut back and forth in time – and you do it through the music. See what I’m saying? So that’s what we’re trying for. It’s very tricky,” the director revealed to shortlist.com.
From this comment, we can imagine that the singer would be played by different actors. Because that’s the other big question: who would be the lucky star having the honor to become the “Strangers in the Night” hit maker?
Scorsese has a clear vision of who should be the one: “My choice is Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro as Dean Martin.”
Too good to be true! Can’t wait for this project to come to fruition.
