Khloe Kardashian: ‘When I was nine I overheard my mum telling her friend I needed nose job’

Khloe Kardashian is looking absolutely gorgeous on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK February 2014 cover.

The ‘Keeping Up‘ star, who has had a pretty rough year, recently filed for divorce from her husband of four year, Lamar Odom. But Khloe won’t let the divorce ruin her future plans. In fact, the 29-years-old told the magazine that she is excited for the year to come and that she needs a new fresh start.

Khloe also talked body image and revealed that as a child she overheard her mom, Kris Jenner, telling a friend that she needed a nose job! Luckily, she didn’t let that affect her self-esteem.

Check out Khloe‘s interview highlights and a couple of photos from her cover feature!

2014 resolutions: “I love the new year, new beginnings. I need a good fresh start; I’m excited for this year to be over with… You only live once so let’s make that one time perfect. We can’t fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let’s have fun. You get what you give out in life.”

She has no regrets: “I don’t regret anything about my life. My life has made me who I am at this moment and I’m very happy with who I am. No matter if it’s great, disgusting, beautiful or ugly; it happens and it makes you you. Life is about how you process things.

On losing weight: “In the past year I think I’ve lost around 30lbs, and I’m feeling good… I’ve worked very hard on my body so I think now I can sex it up a little! My 2014 mission is to wear a crop top with jeans. I’ve never done that so it has to happen one day.”

On her camel toe comments: “I never take myself seriously. When I joke about my camel toe or my big vagina on TV, I don’t realise how many people are watching! I’m with my sisters and we’re the same off camera – that’s how sisters are. Then I go out and someone will say, ‘Oh, my god I have a big vagina too!’ I’m like, ‘WHAT?’ That’s when I can’t believe I said that out loud. But I love to be silly and make people laugh. It’s a compliment, and liberating to think my sisters and I might make other women feel OK about talking about this stuff too.”

On women supporting women: “Women can be quick to attack each other, when we should be building each other up. There are enough people out there who’ll put you down. We should be each other’s biggest cheerleaders. I’m not happy with my arms, so if I see a girl with great arms I compliment her. It doesn’t make me hate her; it motivates me to lift more weights.

She won’t get a nose job despite her mom and makeup artists telling her otherwise: “Words are the most powerful weapon; they can leave scars forever. She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mum telling her friend I needed a nose job. I was shocked; I hadn’t even thought about it. I’ve grown into my face but I’ve had makeup artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.’ I’m so happy that I never have…

On niece North West: “Kanye is such an awesome dad, and he’s so opinionated and passionate. North is only five-and-a-half months old but you can see she has opinions and a strong personality already. I’m kind of nervous to see what she’s like when she’s older but I think she’ll be incredibly confident because Kim and Kanye are.”
