Pasadena, CA — “Ill Square,” an “offbeat, experimental musical,” will screen at the seventh annual Action On Film Festival July 22-30, 2011 in Pasadena, California. The festival is scheduled to screen more than 600 short and feature presentations as well as host many celebrity dinners, a red carpet event, and its renowned annual awards show.
Three tales converge in this experimental musical. After three months of rebuilding his condfidence, a lovesick man sets out to find true love, but what he ends up with is much more complex. Meanwhile, a father and son team prepare for a zombie invasion after seeing an emergency broadcast. Armed with just a pellet gun and hand saw, the duo will stop at nothing to save the world.
The film is Edgardo Flores’ directorial debut. He says, “Making Ill Square was a very therapeutic and gratifying experience for me, it cleared a path; making way for a new chapter in my life.”
Action On Film creator, Del Weston, says, “What I love about ‘Ill Square’ is that you never know what you’re going to see next. The film’s got it all – a unique plotline, great music, and a phenomenal cast. There’s no doubt in my mind that this film will be a huge success.”
Edgardo Flores’ “Ill Square” will screen at the seventh annual Action On Film Festival. Featuring screenings, dinners, red carpet events, and the AOF awards show, the festival and celebration will attract thousands of talented filmmakers, celebrities, and fans alike.
