Braun Sold Taylor’s Master Recordings for $300 million and went off

Taylor Swift Master recordings

Swift took to Twitter to respond to Scooter Braun‘s sale of her master recordings. She hopes the sale will clear up “a lot of concerns” about the deal. The pop icon says she signed an NDA to keep her silence. The terms of her contract with Braun have not been disclosed. The deal of those master recordings was reportedly worth more than $300 million. The two are still feuding over the sale.

Swift added, “A few weeks ago, my team received the letter from a private equity group named Shamrock Holdings, letting us know they had acquired 100% of my songs, videos, and album art by Scooter Braun.” “Without my knowledge, this was the second time my master recordings were sold. The letter assured me that they tried to reach out to let me know before the transaction, but that Scooter Braun had needed them not to make contact with me or my team or else the offer will be off.”

Swift went on to explain that, while she was positive about collaborating with Shamrock, after she was told that Braun would only make money through her music, her thoughts shifted.

“As soon as we began speaking with Shamrock, I heard that Scooter Braun would continue to benefit from my old musical repertoire for several years under their terms,” she said. “I was optimistic and open to the prospect of a Shamrock relationship, but for me, Scooter’s presence is a non-starter.”

“I started to re-record my older music recently and it has already proved to be both thrilling and artistic,” Swift announced in her post. “I’ve got a lot of surprises in store. I want to thank you guys for helping me with this continuing saga, and I can’t wait for you to know what I’ve dreamed of.”

A spokesman for the equity company said to a news channel! “Taylor Swift is a transcendent artist with an everlasting catalog” “We completely admire and embrace her choice and though we hoped to officially collaborate, we also recognized that this was a likely outcome that we expected,” he said. Braun is yet to reply officially on the most recent remarks from Swift regarding selling her master recordings. She wrote on Tumblr after Braun first acquired possession of her estate, “All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative abuse I’ve been receiving from his hands for years.”
