Welcome to the 2014 BAFTA Awards fashion post! The 2014 BAFTAs took place on February 16, at the Royal Opera House in London, UK. The red carpet fashion was good. So good. If this is a preview of what to expect at the Oscars, were in for a treat in March.
Let’s kick off the post with Naomie Harris, who looked absolutely gorgeous in a hot pink Gucci dress with a deep V- neckline and sexy slit. The design is classic, but the vibrant color makes it stand out. I love the heels. Naomie probably had the best shoe game at the BAFTAs this year.
We’re continuing with bold colors, so here is Lily Allen in Viviene Westwood. I am a fan of the color block trend and I would have loved this dress if it would have been ironed and if Lily would have skipped those pink hair accessories. On another note, Lily has lost weight, right?
Olga Kurylenko wore one of the most interesting designs of the night. She wore a gorgeous Burberry dress with a black top with a cute bow and orange skirt that looked a lot like a mermaid tail. Love it. Glossy locks and nude makeup completed the look.
Amy Adams wore Victoria Beckham. I would have loved to see Amy in some color or a less rigid look, but she pulled it off beautifully. I especially love the dark lips.
Angelina Jolie in Saint Laurent. We’ve already discussed Angie, she was stunning. You can see more of her look here.
Helen Mirren owned the red carpet. Her fabulous gown is by Jacques Azagury. She never disappoints.
Lea Seydoux in Miu Miu. I’m not a big fan of the see through skirt, but I do like the bodice of the the dress a lot. Lea appears to favor this kind of gowns, with a see through skirt. Glam curls and fabulous statement earrings completed her look.
Lupita Nyong’ o in Christian Dior Couture. Before seeing Lupita, I was in love with Angelina’s tuxedo and I said she was my best dressed. But after seeing the photos of Lupita in Christian Dior, there’s no doubt she won the red carpet. Pure perfection.
Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace. Uma managed to make a classic black column dress look like a million buck. She looked breathtaking. The necklace was the perfect accessory and her hair and makeup were flawless.
