Killers’ singer with solo album

Today Island Records announced that his
debut solo album titled “Flamingo” will be released on
September 14.

The 29-year-old singer of the American
rock band recorded the solo album working with the same producer from
The Killers’ third album “Day & Age.” Theres already a
single for the Flowers’ album: “Crossfire,” According to
the press release the album is “inextricably tied to [Las]
Vegas in both showmanship and ideology,”

That 10-track album was produced with
help from Stuart Price, Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple
Pilots) and Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2). Jenny Lewis is also
providing backing vocals on two different tracks.

At the beginning of the year he Killlers
announced an hiatus after being on the road for the better part of
six years, but they kept working. Ray Davies had chosen The Killers
to contribute to a cover album of The Kinks’ songs, due out at the
end of the year and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. will join Mt. Desolation,
with members of Keane and Mumford & Sons, to release an album of
country songs in the near future.

Flowers has said The Killers’ are
currently talking about when to start recording a new album after
their hiatus
