Jake Gyllenhaal’s upcoming film “Road House” is set to make its debut on the streaming platform Prime Video on March 21. Directed by renowned filmmaker Doug Liman, known for blockbusters like “The Bourne Identity,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” and “Edge of Tomorrow,” the movie is a modern adaptation of the 1989 cult classic starring Patrick Swayze.
The official plotline describes the film as “an adrenaline-fueled reimagining” where ex-UFC fighter Dalton, portrayed by Gyllenhaal, takes on the role of a bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys, only to discover that the idyllic setting hides darker secrets. Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry have adapted the screenplay from the original, which was based on a story by David Lee Henry.
