British actor Daniel Craig has left the production of new thriller The Whole Truth he was due to star in with Renee Zellweger, just days before he was due to begin shooting in Boston.
The independent project directed by Courtney Hunt was announced during the Berlin Film Festival in February and it was scheduled to begin filming on 14 April.
The film would have seen Craig to play a district attorney who had to battle to clear the name of 19-year-old Gabriel Basso, accused of killing his rich father.
Due to Craig’s sudden decision, the start date is likely to be postponed for three weeks while producers and director Courtney Hunt begin searching for a new male lead.
Craig, who has departed for unknown reasons, is set to start filming in October for next yet untitled 007 spy franchise with the release set for late next year.
Who will he be replaced by? Let us know what you think.
