According the data from the Official Charts Company, Paul Weller probably will get his sixth number one album in the British charts.
His first album to arrive to the charts was “In the City” with the Jam 33 years ago. “Wake Up the Nation” is his last album and probably will arrive to control the number one position.
The record was selling 30 percent more copies than the second-placed album, AC/DC’s “Iron Man OST.” Other release by Meat Loaf, Kate Nash and Selena Gomez & The Scene will be appearing in the Top 10 album chart this week.
Among the other number one albums were Stanley Road back in 1995, Illumination of 2002, and 2008’s Illumination.
He is rocking good and with a lot of recognition. Last year he got a Brit Award, two month ago, Paul received the Godlike Genius Award at the NME Awards. At the same time he still is recognized as “dangerous” by his mats. Noel Gallagher said some days ago: “There is an unwritten law – never go out with Paul Weller – he’s a nightmare”.
