Steven Tyler, who entered to a rehab clinic because of his addiction to painkillers stated as false the rumor of his two-year hiatus and he never planned to abandon Aerosmith.
Last month, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry said that they were looking for a new frontman to replace Tyler in the next tour: “Hopefully, we’ll have found a new singer by the summer, and Aerosmith will be able to go back out on the road.”
In the letter, Tyler’s manager said that Tyler is synonymous with Aerosmith: “Can you imagine the manager of the Rolling Stones calling for the replacement of Mick Jagger? … Steven is Aerosmith, along with the others. He’s the guy the public knows. He’s the singer.”
Acording to Billboard Miller’s letter added that Tyler doesn’t want problems “Steven Tyler does not want lawsuits. We do not want to go in that direction. The direction we want is Aerosmith, with Steven Tyler, touring in Europe, touring Latin America, releasing a new album… This is the direction it’s all intended to go.”
Furthermore, Miller has accused Aerosmith’s Manager of putting Tyler’s recovery at risk with these actions and that will not help him recover of his adiction.
