The pair shared the news on their respective Instagram pages, emphasizing that while their romantic relationship has ended, they still have a deep love and respect for each other and remain close friends.
In a post on his Instagram Stories, Romeo shared a playful photo of the two sticking their tongues out at each other, captioned with the announcement of their split. “Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love,” Romeo wrote. “We still have a lot of love and respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will.”
Mia echoed Romeo’s sentiments in her own Instagram Stories post, sharing a photo of the couple making kissing faces while enjoying frozen yogurt. “This is ro, we have grown up with each other since we were 16!! Love takes different forms & paths as you mature,” Mia wrote. “We aren’t together romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another… after 5 years we friendzoned each other heheh.”
