Prince’s war against Internet

Prince, one of the greatest artists of all times, seems to be missing out in terms of the benefits of Internet and the huge platform that it represents for fans to access the music and information of their favorite artists.

In recent interview for British newspaper The Mirror, Prince opened up about his severe position on the matter:

“I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else,” he told the paper. “They won’t give me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.”

The winner of a Lifetime Achievement Webby back in 2006 for “[tapping] the power of the web to forge a deeper connection with his fans and push the boundaries of technology and art” is becoming a bit paranoid about removing from the Web all the material about his performances.

Prince’s new album 20Ten is coming up next Saturday. We cannot wait to listen to it…but I truly wish he comes to his senses and starts changing his mind towards Internet.
