New Hot Collaboration: Drake and Florence and The Machine

They say there’s nothing new under the sun…When it comes to music, it’s been all already invented: It’s time to either recycling or creating the most outrageous collaborations.

It looks like Canadian hip hop sensation Drake and British indie artist Florence Welch, a.k.a. Florence + The machine have opted for the second option and they are currently working on a new track which will be included on Florence’s upcoming album, to be released this year.

The artists met at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony last year, where Florence performed the hit “Dog Days Are Over,” and they hit it off immediately.

Actually the British artist joined Drake on stage on one of his London’s shows, celebrated at the Hammersmith Apollo, to perform the song Fireworks, which originally included Alicia Keys.

Welch recently revealed to People magazine that some of her favorite rap acts are Drake and Nicki Minaj and that this genre inspires some of his work.
