Lady Antebellum back on top

Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” lost the number one spot, and Sade’s Soldier of Love located there for six weeks, but now Lady Antebellum is back on top, selling 126.000 copies. Soldier of Love had to settle into number two with 79.000 copies.

Its uncommon to see a number one returning to that position. Last time that happened was with Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” that climbed back to No. 1 in its fifth week.

The same week, six new albums debuted in the top 10, led by country singer Blake Shelton at No. 3 with “Hillbilly Bone”. Last time something like that occur was last October when new eight ones appear at the top ten.

The number three for Shelton, was his his best sales week since his second album “The Dreamer” in 2003 that opened at number 8.

At number four we find “American Idol,” Danny Gokey, with “My Best Days”. While at number five we find “Almost Alice” album, a soundtrack to the new Johnny Depp/Tim Burton film “Alice in Wonderland,” the album also brings the track “Alice” by Avril Lavigne that its possible to see at the movie’s credits. Its possible that this soundtrack will climb the list when the movie start to reach more audience.

From the usual contenders in the first positions we only find Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” now into to No. and Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” into No. 8.
