It’s a boy! Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker welcome their first child together after overcoming pregnancy complications. Kourtney Kardashian Barker, the reality TV star and Lemme founder, and Travis Barker, the Blink-182 drummer, are celebrating the arrival of their first child together, a baby boy. The news was confirmed by PEOPLE magazine on Saturday.
The couple, who got married in Italy in 2022, had announced their pregnancy in June 2022, during a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles. Kardashian Barker held up a sign that said: “Travis I’m Pregnant!” and Barker was visibly stunned and overjoyed. They later shared a video of the memorable moment on Instagram.
The couple also revealed the gender of their baby in June, by throwing a blue-themed sex reveal party. Barker also gushed about his son on the One Life One Chance with Toby Morse podcast in October.
The baby boy is the seventh child for the couple, who both have children from their previous relationships. Kardashian Barker has three children with her ex Scott Disick: Reign, 8, Mason, 13, and Penelope, 11. Barker has two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler: Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17. He is also a stepfather to Moakler’s daughter Atiana, 24.
The couple, who are known for their matching tattoos and PDA, also showed off their Halloween costumes on Monday. They dressed up as Lydia Deetz and Beetlejuice from the classic movie Beetlejuice, and captioned their joint Instagram post: “I’m the ghost with the most, babe.”
Pregnancy scare for Kourtney Kardashian
However, the pregnancy was not a smooth ride for Kourtney Kardashian Barker, who had to undergo an urgent fetal surgery in September to save her baby’s life. She shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, holding Barker’s hand, and wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she wrote. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
She added: “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
She concluded: “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍.”
