Britney Spears took fans behind-the-scenes of her upcoming and highly-anticipated Vegas residency show.

I Am Britney Jean“, the two-hours documentary, aired on Sunday (Dec. 22nd) on E! and showcased Britney‘s hard work and preparation in anticipation of her Las Vegas show.

But it wasn’t all footage of rehearsals, dancing, stages and costume changes. Spears also opened up about her personal life and made a series of confessions.

I’m not really made for this industry“, the “Work B*tch” superstar revealed before describing herself as “modest” and “shy“.

This makes us wonder. Is Britney really the one who decides whether or not she stays in the spotlight or is someone else pulling the strings? I do hope she is doing what she loves and is happy.

The Pop Princess also lamented about the lack of privacy and all the mean things written about her: “There was a time in my life when I couldn’t ever leave the house without 20 cars following me…I felt very alienated from the public. But as time passed, they lightened up and they kind of went away after I wouldn’t come out of the house for like two years.”

Brit also opened up about her boyfriend, David Lucado: “He’s just a simple guy. He’s funny, he’s passionate. He gets what I do, so it really kind of works out.”

The 32-years-old mother of two said that she believes in heaven and angels: “I definitely believe in heaven. I know there’s a place beyond our wildest dreams.”

After the documentary aired, Spears tweeted: “Just got chill bumps watching that footage. Next time you see me on that stage it will be the real deal! #IAmBritneyJean

“Hope y’all loved that. Just wanted you to know how hard I’ve been working on this show these past few months.” She then added “See you in Vegas bitches…. ;)”

Britney Spears: Piece of Me” kicks off on Friday at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas.
