Brittany Mahomes is set to make her debut in the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, marking a significant moment in the iconic magazine’s 60th anniversary issue this May.
The announcement by Sports Illustrated on Thursday has generated excitement among fans, especially as it coincides with her husband, Patrick Mahomes, competing in the 2024 Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.
In a teaser clip shared by the magazine on Instagram, Mahomes, 28, is seen proudly wearing nothing but Kansas City Chiefs colors. The clip showcases a series of fiery designs, including a strappy one-piece by Mugler, a Natalia Fedner knit bikini, and a crocheted two-piece with rosette accents.
The photos were captured by Derek Kettela in San Pedro Ambergris Caye, Belize.
Brittany Mahomes: A Modern-Day Powerhouse
As a personal trainer, Mahomes describes herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting” and encourages other women to “be confident in who you are.”
She emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself, regardless of others’ opinions. Despite facing backlash from critics and service workers over the years, Mahomes remains steadfast in her values and advises others to prioritize their own authenticity.
Mahomes’ multifaceted identity as the owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, a former pro athlete, wife, and mother has earned her praise from SI Swim Editor-in-Chief MJ Day, who lauds her as a modern-day powerhouse.
Day highlights Mahomes’ remarkable journey, which includes founding the world’s first dedicated stadium for women’s sports, as an inspiration for others due to her tenacity and unwavering determination.
Joining Mahomes in the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie class is Lori Harvey, who not only graces the pages of the magazine but also models some of her own bikini designs for her shoot, adding to the anticipation surrounding this highly anticipated edition.
