Justin Timberlake is back with a bang. The pop star released his first song in six years, “Selfish”, along with a music video that showcases his signature style and moves.
The song is the lead single from his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, which is set to release on March 15. The album is a collaboration with his longtime friend and producer Timbaland, who described it as “fun Justin—it’s like FutureSex/LoveSounds but nothing too heavy”.
Timberlake, who last released an album in 2018 with Man of the Woods, said he and Timbaland took their time to craft the new music. “We said, ‘We want it to feel like FutureSex part two,’” he told Variety in April.

But that’s not all. Timberlake also surprised his fans by reuniting with his former *NSYNC bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. The group released their first song in more than 20 years, “Better Place”, for the movie Trolls Band Together, in which Timberlake voices a character.
The boyband also made a rare appearance together at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September, where they presented an award. Bass hinted at a possible tour in the future, saying, “The door is always open. And I think especially now. I’m game and you know we will be talking at some point. So hopefully, fingers crossed something will work out.”
