Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker was apprehended outside her New York City apartment on Monday, just two days after being arrested while attempting to break into her home.
According to a spokesperson for the New York Police Department, members of the community alerted authorities to a person of concern in the area, leading to the arrest. The identity of the individual has not been disclosed.
Despite his initial arrest on Saturday, the alleged stalker returned to Swift’s residence shortly after being apprehended, as reported by an eyewitness. On Monday afternoon, he was once again seen lingering around her apartment. However, police did not take him into custody until 6 p.m., with Swift’s security team allegedly requesting that he be arrested away from the building. According to a second source, there was resistance from the suspect, leading to a physical altercation with law enforcement officers.
Charges against Taylor Swift’s Alleged Stalker are still pending, as confirmed by the NYPD. The news of the latest incident was first reported by TMZ. On Saturday, officers responded to a call regarding a “disorderly person” near Swift’s home and were informed that the individual had attempted to enter a building on the property.
What we know about Taylor Swift’s Alleged Stalker
While the police have not confirmed the break-in, a separate source claimed to have witnessed the suspect attempting to gain access to Swift’s residence. The same source revealed that the individual had been observed in the neighborhood for several weeks, with another insider stating that he had been seen “lurking” in the area for a month. According to these accounts, the suspect had been behaving in a manner that made residents uncomfortable, including sleeping on the building’s steps, smoking heavily, and shouting.
One neighbor recounted an encounter with Taylor Swift’s Alleged Stalker, stating that when questioned about his presence, he replied, “I want to see Taylor,” and at one point even brought flowers. Despite multiple calls to the police, no action was taken until the attempted break-in, reportedly due to an active warrant for the suspect’s arrest. The NYPD confirmed that the suspect had been initially arrested for failure to answer a summons in 2015.
Amid these events, Taylor Swift spent her Sunday in Orchard Park, N.Y., supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at a game.
