Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez divorce has been finally settled after less than a year of marriage. The pop star and the real estate agent have reached an amicable settlement and filed their agreement with the Los Angeles Superior Court, according to Page Six.
A source told the outlet that the former couple wanted to make the process as easy as possible for each other. “Ariana and Dalton really wanted to take care of each other through all of this and make it as easy on one another as possible — which is why they really took their time with everything,” the source said.
Grande and Gomez tied the knot in May 2021 at her home in Montecito, California, in a private ceremony attended by only 20 guests. They had been dating since January 2020 and got engaged in December of the same year.
However, their relationship seemed to hit a rough patch in July, when Grande was spotted without her wedding ring at the Wimbledon men’s singles final. She was seen sitting between actors Andrew Garfield and Jonathan Bailey, sparking rumors of a possible romance.
A few weeks later, Grande was linked to her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who also filed for divorce from his wife, Lilly Jay, around the same time. Grande and Slater reportedly started dating while filming their upcoming movie adaptation of the Broadway musical.
Production insiders told Us Weekly that Jay and their baby visited the Wicked set, where Grande spent time with them. However, sources close to Jay said that she was devastated by Slater’s new relationship and felt that he had left their family behind.
Grande has not publicly commented on her divorce or her alleged romance with Slater. She has also deleted her wedding photos from Instagram, leaving only a few pictures of her and Gomez from their engagement.
Grande was previously engaged to comedian Pete Davidson in 2018, but they broke up after four months.
