Actor Mike Heslin, known for his roles in Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series Special Ops: Lioness and the Lifetime movie The Holiday Proposal, has passed away at the age of 30. Heslin’s husband, Scotty Dynamo, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing that Heslin died on July 2 following an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital.
“Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” Dynamo wrote, accompanied by a series of photos of Heslin. “Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel. He single-handedly carried me through multiple rounds of cancer. He was the first person everyone would call to share good news with, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice.”
Remembering Mike Heslin
Heslin is being remembered as “the sweetest, most caring, and loving man on earth” who “brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure to cross paths with him.” Dynamo shared that the couple was “in the early stages of starting a family and would regularly share our favorite baby names for our future kids.” Heslin’s sudden death came just three weeks shy of his 31st birthday and four months before the couple’s first wedding anniversary.
Mike Heslin appeared in two episodes of the spy thriller Special Ops: Lioness, starring Zoe Saldaña, where he played the role of Polo in season 1. His other TV credits include In Their Shoes: A Journey Into Homelessness and Younger.
To help cover his funeral and hospital costs, Mike Heslin’s friends have set up a GoFundMe page. The news of his untimely death has left the entertainment community and his loved ones in deep mourning.
