Mamie Laverock, known for her role in the Hallmark series “When Calls the Heart,” is currently on life support following a harrowing fall from a five-story balcony.
The 19-year-old actress initially experienced a medical emergency on May 11. Her mother, Nicole Compton, acted swiftly, saving her daughter’s life and transporting her to a local hospital. Laverock was later moved to a Vancouver hospital where her condition showed signs of improvement, although it remained unclear.
However, in a heart-wrenching update, her family revealed that on May 26, Mamie Laverock, who had been under intensive treatment, was taken to a balcony walkway from which she tragically fell five stories.
“She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” her family shared on the GoFundMe page set up for her, which has raised nearly 14,000 CAD. “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”
Following this tragic news, many of Laverock’s co-stars from “When Calls the Heart” have expressed their support and urged fans to keep her in their thoughts and prayers.
Johannah Newmarch, who plays Laverock’s on-screen mother Molly Sullivan, shared her heartbreak on social media.
“I love this family, my heart is broken,” she wrote. “A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can,” she added, sharing the GoFundMe link.
Erin Krakow and Loretta Walsh, both long-time stars of the show, also encouraged their followers to donate and support Laverock’s family during this challenging time.
