North West, the 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is set to make her stage debut in “Disney’s The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl.” The performances, scheduled for May 24 and 25, will feature North alongside a star-studded cast of Lion King veterans.
While North’s role has not been officially announced, she will be joining a lineup that includes Jeremy Irons (Scar), Nathan Lane (Timon), Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa), and Jason Weaver (Young Simba) from the original 1994 film.
Also in the cast are Billy Eichner, who played Timon in the 2019 live-action adaptation, and Broadway stars Heather Headley and Bradley Gibson, known for their roles as Nala and Simba in the stage musical.
The performances will showcase iconic songs from the film’s soundtrack, such as “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata,” accompanied by a full orchestra.
The event will also be filmed for a Disney+ original special, which will allow fans to experience the magic of the performance from the comfort of their homes at a later date.
North West’s Debut Performance in ‘lion King’
North West’s involvement in the production comes as no surprise, as she has shown a keen interest in music. During Kanye’s album release listening party for Vultures 2 in March, North announced that she is working on her debut album titled “Elementary School Dropout,” a nod to her father’s debut album, “The College Dropout.”
While it is unclear whether Kanye will feature on North West’s album, she has promised that it will be “great.”
In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing North West’s stage debut in “Disney’s The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl,” which promises to be a memorable and enchanting experience for audiences of all ages.
