Tonight, the annual Met Gala 2024 once again dazzled onlookers with its extravagant red carpet display of celebrity fashion. The event, themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” took place in New York City and featured a stunning array of custom creations worn by A-list attendees.
This year, the best-dressed stars were those who not only adhered to the theme but also added their own unique twists to their ensembles, making for a truly memorable evening.
A-Listers Rocking the Red Carpet: Met Gala 2024
Among the standout looks were those of the official Met Gala 2024 co-hosts. Zendaya stole the show with not one but two striking outfits, including a custom Margiela creation and a vintage Givenchy dress from the spring 1996 collection.
Jennifer Lopez shimmered in a sparkling Schiaparelli number, while Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth opted for sculptural and sleek suits by Margiela and Tom Ford, respectively.
Florals were a dominant trend of the night at Met Gala 2024, with celebrities embracing the theme of “the garden of time” in various creative ways. Nicki Minaj wowed in a Marni dress adorned with hand-painted metal flowers, while Gigi Hadid made a bold statement in a Thom Browne ballgown featuring three-dimensional floral embellishments. Adwoah Aboah, who is expecting, showcased her baby bump in a stunning red floral H&M ensemble that included a crop top and full skirt.
Not all of the evening’s fashion moments were floral, however. Lana Del Rey made a dramatic entrance in a veiled Alexander McQueen look complete with an antlered headpiece, paying homage to the late designer’s iconic fall 2006 collection. Tyla also turned heads in a form-fitting Balmain gown that resembled a sand sculpture, showcasing her avant-garde style.
The men in attendance also made a sartorial statement, with well-dressed stars like Josh O’Connor, Morgan Spector, and Stefon Diggs sporting contemporary and dapper looks from designers like Loewe, Willy Chaverria, and H&M.
