Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is heading back to Netflix this December with a holiday special that gives viewers a front-row seat to how she decks the halls—and sets the table. The hour-long With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration is a spinoff of her lifestyle series, and it arrives after two seasons that showed a softer, domestic side of the California-based royal.
What to expect is fairly straightforward. Meghan gathers friends and family to demonstrate how-tos focused on approachable seasonal hosting. Think holiday feasts, handmade gifts, decorating tutorials, and entertaining tips that feel doable, not staged. A preview on Instagram showed her in a green dress lighting candles at a table dressed with greenery, glassware, and ribbons. It looked warm. It looked intentional.
A little backstory helps. The original With Love, Meghan premiered in March 2025 and returned for a second season in August. This holiday edition follows the same format but narrows the focus to all things festive. She even teased the special at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, calling it “a really good one” and promising “lots of gift wrapping techniques.” That last bit is oddly charming when you learn she once taught advanced gift wrapping at Paper Source between acting auditions. Full circle, right?
Filming and the Montecito setting
Like the main series, the special was filmed in Montecito, California, where Meghan and Prince Harry live with their children, Archie and Lilibet. But it wasn’t shot inside their home. Production rented an $8 million farmhouse owned by philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, just miles from the Sussexes’ estate. The property includes four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, five acres with a barn, lemon and avocado orchards, and landscaped gardens—and has that coastal-chic look that matches the couple’s style without invading their private space.
Meghan said she chose not to film at home to “protect that safe haven” for her family, noting that a crew of 80-plus people is a lot to have in your house. Only a few scenes from the original series, like backyard and chicken coop footage, were actually shot at the Sussex residence. That makes sense. You want authenticity, but you also want boundaries.
Who shows up?
The trailer teases appearances from Prince Harry and several well-known guests: Naomi Osaka, chef Tom Colicchio, and restaurateur Will Guidara. Friends Kelly Zajfen and producer Lindsay Roth are also featured. It’s a mix of family, celebrity, and collaborators—people who can cook, wrap, or chat while the camera rolls.
The special is part of Archewell Productions’ multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix, extended earlier this year after their initial reported $100 million partnership. So this isn’t a one-off; it’s part of a larger creative relationship.
With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration streams on Netflix December 3. Will it change holiday TV? Maybe not. But if you like cozy how-tos, thoughtful tablescapes, and a peek at seasonal hosting from someone who’s been both in front of and behind the camera, it’s likely worth a watch.
