Sean “Diddy” Combs has seemingly hit the reset button on his Instagram and other social media presence. The 54-year-old music mogul wiped his Instagram clean, leaving his nearly 20 million followers with a blank slate. This move comes amidst a wave of legal troubles for Combs, including a recent sexual assault accusation.
The only remnants on Diddy’s Instagram are a link to his Grammy-nominated album and a bio urging fans to listen to it. While his Twitter account remains live with no recent posts since February, his Threads activity also seems to have gone quiet since August 2023.
This social media cleanse follows reports of Diddy missing his twin daughters’ prom send-off in May and skipping another daughter’s graduation ceremony. These absences coincide with the legal firestorm Combs finds himself in.
The first domino fell in November 2023 when his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a bombshell lawsuit accusing him of rape, physical violence, and more. The two reportedly settled out of court for a significant sum the next day.
However, the legal woes didn’t stop there. Combs faced a $30 million lawsuit from music producer Lil’ Rod, alongside additional sexual assault claims from multiple individuals. Most recently, former model April Lampros added to the accusations, claiming Diddy drugged and raped her while she was a student.
Through his lawyer, Combs has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Whether his social media silence signifies a strategic move or a personal retreat remains to be seen. One thing is certain: Diddy’s clean slate on Instagram comes at a time when his public image is facing intense scrutiny.
