Elon Musk has allegedly welcomed his third child with top Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis earlier this year, according to Bloomberg, bringing his total number of children to 12.
Details about the newborn, including the name and sex, remain undisclosed. Both Shivon Zilis and Elon Musk have declined to comment on the matter, and representatives for Musk have not provided any statements.
Musk, 52, and Zilis, 38, are already parents to twins, Strider and Azure, born in November 2021. This addition to Musk’s family comes shortly after the birth of his daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, also known as Y, with his former partner Grimes in December 2021 via surrogate.
In July 2022, Elon Musk acknowledged the birth of his twins with Shivon Zilis, stating, “Bravo to big families.” Musk has frequently expressed his desire to have numerous children, emphasizing his belief that a declining birth rate is a significant threat to civilization. “A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces, by far,” he tweeted in 2022.
Musk’s family also includes two sons, Techno Mechanicus and X AE A-XII, with Grimes. Despite an ongoing custody battle with Grimes over their three children, Musk remains actively involved in their lives, often seen with his 4-year-old son at major events like the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, the Tesla plant in Germany, and the Cannes Lions Festival in France.
Additionally, Musk has five older children with his ex-wife Justine Musk: twins Griffin and Vivian, born in 2004, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, born in 2006.
The couple’s first child, Nevada, tragically passed away at 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in 2002.
As Musk’s family continues to expand, his dedication to parenthood and his concern over global birth rates remain evident.
