De los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Las Vegas. He began his acting career in theater and musicals, before landing his breakthrough role on One Life to Live in 1995. He left the show in 1998, but returned in 2000 and stayed until 2009. He won several awards and nominations for his portrayal of the complex and charismatic Antonio Vega, a former gang member turned police detective.
The actor also appeared on several TV shows in the genres of crime and drama, such as Castle, Shooter, SEAL Team and The Rookie. He had a recurring role on the fourth season of Sleepy Hollow as the demon Jobe, who served as the right-hand man of the main antagonist.

Besides TV, de los Reyes was also a prominent figure in the video game industry, lending his voice and motion-capture performance to the role of Raul Menendez, the main villain of the Call of Duty franchise. He first voiced the character in 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and reprised the role in several subsequent games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone. He once said that working on the franchise was “one of the most amazing projects” he had ever done, and that it was also a way to bond with his son Caylen, who was an avid gamer.

He is survived by his wife Sherri Saum, who was his co-star on One Life to Live, and their twin sons John and Michael, who are 9 years old.
