Azealia Banks Quits ‘Rap Game’ & Twitter, Announces ‘Liquorice’ Video
The rapper announced that she has parted ways with her manager, Troy Carter, and that not only is she quitting Twitter, but she is no longer associating her music with the ‘rap game’.
Fans will be able to follow her on Tumblr however.
“No longer wish to be a rapper. I never was…and as soon as I started paying attention to bullsh*t urban media, I started getting myself in trouble. From now on I’m a vocalist, and will not be associating myself with the “rap game”…or whatever the f*ck that means”, Azealia announced.
“I’m still going to rap. I just don’t want the label and all the other crap that comes with the “rap game”…it’s boring. Rather be a dance artist”, she added.
On a happier note, the “212” hitmaker announced: “I’ve been working on so many things all at once! Lol…The mixtape is coming together really REALLY well. I’m really excited about it.:)”
“The video for “Liquorice” will be out on Tuesday ..As will be the physical version of the “1991″ Ep & “Aquababe”!!!!”, she announced hours ago.
